Offer your clients a Hearing Loop handout. For a copy of a handout if you are located in Wisconsin: Click here. For a generic handout which allows you to insert a copy of your business card Click here. On the back of this handout I copy the hearing loop installations in Wisconsin. In the bottom left corner I handwrite the different programs inside the user's hearing aid, for example: 1 = Mic, 2=restaurant, 3=M+T for in church. Please email me if you have any questions about programming telecoils.

What about the new Bluetooth Wireless Technology and streamers?
Click here for a comparison written by Linda Remensnyder, AuD regarding Bluetooth Technology versus Telecoil/Hearing Loop use.
Dr. Remensnyder has been very successful in bringing hearing loops to her community in Lake Forrest, Illinois. Her website gives more details: http://www.hearingdoc.com/loop.php .

If you are interested in being on my e-mailing list please email me: Dr. Juliette Sterkens

I send a monthly "Get Looped" newsletter with useful looping information for audiologists/hearing health-care providers. Receive practical tips on how to get your community looped to benefit your patients and every person with hearing loss in the community.

Have you been successful on getting a particular place looped? Please share your ideas, your successes and your failures. We can learn from each other and I will share your suggestions with you all on the "Get Looped" mailing list.

I offer my patients a copy of the Technology for Worship Magazine
Click here for a copy. I suggest they take it to someone in their church. If you would like copies of this article please email me.

Download advocacy cards for your clients:
Click here. I hand these cards to my clients and ask they drop them off in places where they experience hearing difficulties. I imagine these cards going all over the country during the travels of my clients. Encourage your clients to drop these cards off in movie theaters, performing art centers, funeral home chapels, places of Worship, sports stadiums or any large meeting place avoided in the past due to the poor acoustics.
